Established in 1970, the estate is located near Chipinge, in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, near the Mozambique border. The combination of near to perfect growing conditions, altitude, rich, fertile soil and state of the art processing and grading technology produces a very distinctive coffee. The coffees are all hand picked red cherry, with the same trees being re-picked approximately 10 times over the harvest.

Our Pezuru Estate is a cooperative of 3 adjacent farms, each having approximately 200 hectares of coffee and jointly produce around 17,000 bags per year. Interestingly, the 3 farms follow a rotational program that uproots and re-plants each field every 7-8 years--always harvesting from young plants and greatly reducing risk of disease.



A beautiful nicely balanced, yet complex cup. African fruitiness, fine medium bodied with a pleasant wine & berry taste similar to Kenya coffees. Lingering tangerine and orange. Great aftertaste.
